William Redfearn c1836 Birstall, Yorkshire - married Harriet Weldrake c1833 Hightown, Liversedge.

They married in September Qtr 1860 Dewsbury district - and
show in the 1861 Liversedge Census, with a daughter, Ann, 3 months. (they are living with Harriet's mother)

In 1871 and 1881 I think William is living away from home,
status is married but no sign of wife and child.

Of his wife and daughter I can find no sign!

Maybe one of you super sleuths can find her/them?

Excellent detective work - thanks everyone!

Mirfield is where her father is lodging in 1871 and 1881 - so I guess she moved to be closer to him after her grandmother died. And I will have to send off for the marriage certificate to find out if William did remarry, and to who.
