	Does anyone know how long probate would have taken in the 1950's. I am going to apply for a will tomorrow for my Dad's g.aunt - I know that my Grandad received about £1000, Mum thinks my brother was about 3 and was born end of 1956. The lady in question never married and owned at least 3 properties. The reason I ask is that for the life of me I can not find her death record, have searched all qtrs from1953 until 1959 although I am sure I have seen it in the past. Libby Found death reg. The quarter was missing when I searched Ancestry under surname, Found it by searching on earlier search alphabetically and going to next page.

	Depending on time for tracing relatives etc about a year would be normal.
	Researching: For better results please give all the details ,name, date place as you can {pictures by me }
