Is there a site where I can search Irish BMDs, I have one or two ancestors who were born in Ireland after 1837 and would like to get their birth certificates if possible. Never really progressed with my Irish ancestors because I was thinking it was impossible as many records are destroyed - arent they??

I have a few in the late 1700s early 1800s too!!

Thanks for any help

Marilyn

Looking at my tree I can only find one after 1837 who is Mary Cooney born about 1852 and I have only got Ireland, her father was Michael so thanks a lot for the information, I will take a look at the sites when I get a chance.

The others are all as I say just before or after 1800.

Thanks again
