I can only assume from this that the ages for William and Elizabeth were wrong on the 1851.

Looking at the 1851 William was from Greasley, Nottinghamshire and Elizabeth from St Mary's, Nottingham.

If this is the family in 1851...........I'm afraid I don't think that William and Elizabeth are the parents of Thomas & James

Does anyone have access to Hetton-le-Hole / Chester-le-Street records?
I have a baptisn on 5/11/1837 of James Kirk born 10/12/1833
parents William and Elizabeth Kirk need elizabeths maiden name--could possibly be Syson, He had a brother christened the same day Thomas born 1/3/1837, just before proper records started!
