Thank you all is forgiven it is hard to interpret messages and we all have those days. I also get angry when people just collect surnames that are the same as theirs and never prove that they are part of their own family. I once read in a magazine that someone claimed to have over 30,000 names in their family tree. That would cost them about £210,000 in certificates alone.

I am sorry if I upset you .... I obviously misunderstood what you meant by "GR".
However, there have been many such misunderstandings by newbies in recent weeks who believe that GR is to be thanked for everything, and never realise that it is the ordinary joe member who does the work.
I guess I was feeling a little frustrated at the time.
I also did not realise that you were such an experienced researcher, but assumed (wrongly!) that you were asking for some guidance.

Sylvia in Canada, GR was just an expression as so many people helped me and it avoided me naming everyone. I think it is un necessary to pick on fine detail.
I have not only been through Ancestry I have been visiting the actual records offices in London BMD since 1974 before I had a PC and I did it the hard way so I have been there done that - thank you. I have almost every London death for the Ann/Annie Rogers in London over a ten year period listed. I have worked very hard at it.
I am just looking for a tip from someone who may be able to give me a lead.
Kathleen Bell thank you so much. I have made enquiries about this certificate but not yet purchased it because it does not have the same address and another person registered the death. Anyway I think that I will buy it incase I find a clue on it.
I posted this message again just incase someone who is researching the WILBURN family is able to link this Rogers to it.

You do realise that it isn't GR that helped you find your Rogers family don't you???
It is members of GR who spend their time helping other members! GR plays no part at all in this!
To answer your question, you will probably have to search through the Complete Index to bmds on ancestry to find the marriage for William and Annie and for her death.
This search involves trawling through the Index quarter by quarter year by year, and then repeating for the other partner.
The marriage will be difficult because you don't have her maiden name.
If you do not have a subscription to ancestry, you could ask for someone to do the hunting for you, but do be aware that you are asking for someone to spend a lot of time trawling through.
You could also see if you could find an earlier electoral roll, or look at the telephone directories that are on ancestry to see if he is in there (and if maybe a wife's name is added!!).

I don't know what date the electoral register was taken in 1933 but there is this death in Pancras which I don't think is too far from Holborn:-
Annie M. Rogers age 52
Sept. qtr. 1933, Pancras, 1b, 122

Still looking and have not been able to prove a marriage or even a death of Williams first wife Ann/Annie.
Two years ago GR kindly helped me find my Rogers family at Bethnal Green on the 1901 census (thank you).
My stepfather Wm Rogers was 14 years of age in 1901.
The next notes that I have found on him were in the Electoral at Holborn, London in 1931/32/33 with an Annie Rogers – I presume his wife.
In 1934 Annie was no longer on the Electoral Roll but I have not found her death to date (Annie may not have been her first name).
Wm. Rogers married my mother Rose E C Wilburn at Holborn in 1940 and was described on the marriage certificate as a Widower.
I wonder if anyone has an idea on how I can either trace a marriage / or death for Annie. I know when and where Wm Died. Please can you point me in the right direction.
