Up to now the only family tree I have is on genes, although I have everything backed up in paper.

Can anybody give me advice on the best family tree software to buy?

Thanks,

Vicky

Vicky

A lot of people on here use Family Tree Maker, it is very good and easy to get around.

At the moment I would stick to any version before the latest 2008, as this is a completely different set up, good in many ways but lacks some of the important things on the other versions.

You can get it quite cheaply too if you look around.

Victoria...
Flag up "Tribal Pages" on Google. The website will pop up there. Follow the usual links; you can't go wrong and it's a good back up to the GR tree.
