Keith. No. How I wish it was the right James but thanks anyway.

Glitterbaby. They married in 1853. Wentworth Hall was born to another Hall rellie and isn`t the Wentworth Mullineux who was born in 1854 to my gg grandparents.
Thanks Jay

Did Martha and James actually marry?

Just wondering if I was looking at the right 1871 census?

Was Wentworth registered as Hall and not Mullineux - just strange that he seems to be missing then appears again after marriage.

Hi , I`ve found my gg grandmother Martha Mullineux nee Hall, b.1835 living in the Oldham area on each census except 1881. By the 1891 census Martha`s status was widow.
On the 1871 census she was still living with her parents and her two children. However, I can`t find my gg grandfather James (b 1836 in Westhoughton) on either the 1871 or 1881 census.
I`ve never found James` death or any trace of him after the 1861 census.
Please can anybody find him on the 1871 census and either or both of them on the 1881 census. If not, then has anyone any tips on trying to find him after his apparent disappearance after 1861? Jay
