speaking from experiance, never ever do a restore unless you are sure you don't have a virus

If the Task launcher doesn't work then go into your documents and open a file produced by Works. That will then allow you to create a new document. I would also suggest doing a System Restore to a date before this problem started, which should repair the shortcut fault.

What have you installed on your computer since it last worked? Are you running Norton?

What operating system are you using? I can't find a 'task launcher' only a 'task scheduler' on mine.

For some reason I cannot open Microsoft Works Task Launcher, when I click on it nothing happens, I use this quite a lot,

Can anyone help please?
