My grandfather peter kerr was born in scotland so not on the english census files.How can i trace his family back.is there scottish census's thanks Nick Horton

Can you give us some approx dates and places Nick
Ancestry have the index for the Scottish census and scotlandspeople is brilliant for BMD's and census images at £6 for 30 credits they are not expensive as long as you take care with your searches. The use of wildcards is good too
