unknown father from an affair with a married man?

hi all my nan was born to a single mother who had an affair with a married man all we have is his surname"midwinter" and was part of the midwinter china making family.this was a big dirty secret at that time and she was reared by an aunt.her real mother never acnowledged her as her daughter even on her death bed! my nan was born on 19/12/1912 to florence kate towersey in norton canes cannock staffs.so if anyone has any ideas on this one id be pleased to hear from you thanks karen jones |
