The addresses shown on a marriage certificate are for the bride and groom.

Father may have been in America...or even deceased....unless you have evidence that he was a witness.

With the Brides father - have you tried different spellings of the surname - sometimes when it is transcribed - it's done incporrectly! I had difficulty with a relative name of Round - it had been transcribed Rounds. It's happened on other ocasions too - so I've used a wildcard * after the 3rd letter of the name, when searching. (Allcock instead of Alcock, Clark intsead of Clarke).

Sorry if you've tried this already - just a suggestion.

Oh Jim, please don't tell me that.
The bride was born in 1867 in New York and the Father was a master mariner - or so it says

Was the bride born before 1901?
Be aware that fathers names on marriage certificates are sometimes an invention.

As far as I am aware there are no records for passengers from America to England.

or is the ancestry site a bit difficult to use?
Anyone know how I can find out who the passengers were on the return leg from New york to England?
Also still trying to find someone who is not on any census and nor can I find a birth or death!! He is the Father of the Bride on my greatgrans marriage cert though with a Liverpool address.
Thanks
