Suggest that you go to or contact the West Glamorgan Archive Service - online address :

http://www.swansea.gov.uk/westglamorganarchives/

though he was classified as Civilian stress that he was an ARP Warden.

Hi

Can anyone advise where I can find information on air raid wardens killed in bombings in 1941.

I am looking for William Jordan an ARW killed in Newport, Gwent during a raid on the 1st July 1941. I'm trying to find out whether he was awarded a medal or not.

Thanks for any info.

Sue
