1930ish my granddad worked for a hat company in amhurst road hackney and i wondered if it was still there

In 1930? Do you know the name of the company? You could do a google search with that address you have plus something like Milliners/hatters

im sorry i dont no the name of the company i received a birth certificate this morning and it says the dads occupation was a ladies hat machinist

Amhurst Rd Hackney is in Dalston.just past Ridley Rd market It used to be a big part of the East End Rag Trade, sadly most of it has gone and the buildings are now flats.My nan was a hat maker as well in the 1920's. if you would like info on it Hackney Arcives might have something.
