Raych, that info is also on the Ellis Island site which is free, although you have to register.
There was also a 2 yr. old daughter, Beatrice Mahala. Mother Beatrice May was born Hood, England, Beatrice Mahala in Hore, England. Next-of-kin in England was A. Hoare, 6 Elm Tree Cottage, (Something) Stoke, Rochester.
They were going to meet husband and father William Rapley, 25 Un?fr?? Ave., Toronto. It also says that Beatrice was pregnant!

Sorry for the delay in answering, ladies, I'm in Canada so just got up. Haven't had my second cup of coffee yet so might not make sense.
On the Ellis Island site, after you enter the person's name and find the one you're looking for, click on "ship manifest". At this point you have to enter user name & password.
You then get the original copy, click on the wee magnifying glass so that you can read it. The pages are in no particular order so always go to next page and previous page until you find what you want. The names will be on one page, take note of which line the name is on because on another page it states where the person is going to but doesn't give the name on that page.
Havind said all that, it doesn't really apply to your Beatrice Rapley, there only seems to be 2 people on the ship manifest, Beatrice and daughter. Very unusual!
Good luck, Margaret

Thanks so much Margaret.

Found my George Hammond, there were quite a few, but using what you told us, I found him as I knew he was living in St. Leonards in Sussex and found the name of the road.
