Custard, why not contact your nearest family history society or local council genealogy group, they might advise you.

Thank you very much Libby that has helped a great deal. It is really awkward when you are trying to get funding for things that you know will help a lot of people but you know nothing about the equipment you want.

I think the people who find anything will have to write down what they find.

Tried Local library and another member tried archives the library does not know much about them and the other member could not get anyone to help at the archives.

I wondered if anyone can give me some advice. I help to run a Local Family History Group and I am in the process of trying to get funding for a micro fiche reader but I know very little about them.

One question I have is can you connect a printer to them or do you have to get one with a printer in it.

I have sent emails to companies that sell them but only had one very brief reply saying that the best would be an EyeCom 300 Duel Lens but it does not say anything about printer and got to get another part to it to read film.

Another question is whether they can be secured to a table.

Hoping someone can give me some advise.
