Hi all,

I don't know whether anyone can look this up for me but the marriage between Jonathan Sutcliffe and Lillian Bottomley. They got married in Rochdale Quarter June Year 1925 Volume 8e Page 118.

I am trying to find old this jonathan would be and where he would be born. Then I could order the certificate.

Regards

Rowena

the only way to get that info will be to buy the cert I,m afraid.

The cert wont tell you where he was born tho only the birth cert will tell you that ,OR if he was old enough to show on the 1901 census . You need to know his dad s name to cross check the info .

I do have Jonathan's birth certificate and was born in April 1898 and his father was called Wright Sutcliffe. But I think he could have moved to rochdale.

When you order a certificate you can ask the record office to cross check some information, for example the name of the father if you already know that. If the certificate doesn't match the cross-checked info then you are only charged an admin fee (about £4 I think). If the info matches, you get charged full price and sent the certificate.

It saves a bit of money if you have several possible matches.
