I've come up with Henrietta and Harriet possibly? Can it ever be short for Hannah or Elizabeth?

Thanks
Laura

It is also a name in it's own right. I had an aunt called Hetty and that was how her birth was registered.

I had a great aunt who was registered as Hettie.

Her father named her after a barmaid at the pub, he went to . He did'nt know what to call her, and asked the barmaid what her name was.

As good as anything, when you have had 19 children I suppose, and dont know what to call fhem.
