i am looking for ancesters of martha ann turland born 1879, ramsey huntingdonshire.
i cant find her birth certificate! i can find her death certificate and marriage certificate for both her marriages which i know are correct.

i found her on the 1891 census parents listed as joseph and emma. i dont know the year her parents married so i cant find their marriage cert. i also cant find birth certificate for her father joseph. according to 1891 census he was born in 1842 and emma was born 1844.
the problem comes when i tried to trace back to the 1881 census, there is no record for any of them. 1901 there is no martha ann turland on the census. i know december 1901 she got married

thank you everyone for the help. is there anyway i can find out if they did change surnames?

i am even more confused. i just tried tracing joseph tarling on 1871 census and there was no match. i know from parish record of ramsey there was a turner who used turland as an alias but thats going back to 1600's and i cant get anything on net back that far

has anyone any ideas where i can look
