Hi there Alice and Heather,

I only got a surname print out from the cemetry and not an individual. I don't live in York and it was only when I got home that I have spotted these two infants.

As the cemetry is a charity they charge £3 per page for a print out and we could have very easily spent a fortune so I only bought what I already knew about from the census reports (which thank you Alice I already have). Because these two were born and died inbetween census years I had no record of them.

Neither names are on the familysearch website and I just wondered if anyone had extra records which I was not aware of.

It could be after Christmas before I get a chance to go back to York to check at the cemetry or parish registers.

Thanks

Dawn

Have you tried the IGI? Would the burial records for a baby not record the parents?

Good Evening All,

Today I have had a very interesting trip to York Cemetry and I got a print out of all the GOLDEN burials, which included seven of my ancestors. The question I have is that there are two babies which could also have been related and I wondered if there is anyway of confirming this without buying their birth certificates??

The first is James GOLDEN and he died 13/9/1885 aged 16 months and also Edward GOLDEN who died 3/1/1896 aged 14 months.

I believe their parents were William and Sarah GOLDEN.

The only other GOLDENs on FreeBMD are all their brothers and sisters which I have confirmed using census reports.

Please can anyone help.

Thanks in advance

Dawn
