Sometimes I have had people reply years later infact when they do reply like this I can never remember what I asked them in the first place and in some cases I already have the information I want anyway.

Thanks for that Jolly and Alan as you say it's just one of those things but it is annoying when you are sure they have the information you need.
Cheers

Hi David

its terribly frustrating when it happens as you are soo enthusiastic and hope that you may have found the missing link, unfortunately it has happened to me so I know how you feel.
I make a point of always answering my pm's if they are a match or not then at least I have a clear consience.

good luck with your search
regards
Lesley

David,

It could be someone who joined GR several years ago, and has now left the site.

GR does send a notice that there is an email waiting for them ........ but if they didn't give GR an updated email address because they had left the site ...................

I also wonder sonmetimes if everyone remembers to update sites such as this when they change their home email address?

Hi Sylvia,
As you say it could be from years ago and people are updating all the time. Not to worry perhaps it's just me having a moan.
Cheers
