Hi Linda,

You didn't miss it. I've just trawled 1933-40 on findmypast. Also checked military and over-seas marriages and nothing.

One of two possibilities:

1: They didn't marry.

2: The marriage didn't make it to the GRO because of the war. It might pay to check local registry office.

FreeBMD and the partial indexes on Ancestry don't cover that time period. Have you checked the complete indexes on Ancestry, quarter by quarter for each year from 1933 onwards?

Hi can anyone help me find a marriage

HARRY CARTER married EDITH JANE JERRAM 1922 winchester hampshire

EDITH JANE died 1933

HARRY CARTER married BEATRICE SELLEY 1933-1940 Hampshire.
they had a son
Name: William Carter
Birth Date: 19 Jun 1940
Reg sep quarter Winchester 2c 307 mother maiden name is Selley

I cant find HARRY and BEATRICE marriage anywhere. i have looked on free bmd and also on ancestry but no luck if anyone comes across this couple please it would be a great help. everyone concerned now has died and the only living relative is my mother in law who i am trying to help trace her family.
