Dear Claire,

I'm not too clear on where your church is, but there was a CofE St Peter's @ Gorse Hill, Firswood, Lancs from 1905-2000, (on the Chester Rd about 1km E of Trafford Park railway station). I think their functions have been taken over by the nearby St Hilda's:

If this sounds like the right church to you, then I suggest contacting St Hilda's, and asking them.

Hi there can any one email me and let me know how i go about checking the parish records of a child who was at a sunday school and possible even christened there in 1941/2. The church is St Peters in Sale or Hale.
