In England one can look up addresses for immediate surrounding area at the nearest main library or archive holding old electoral lists.
....Don't know if it's the same for Scotland.

Lists here are organised by parliamentary wards, then subdivided and listed by street addresses within each ward.

Newbie looking for info on how to find a surname. I have the addresses for this period. Does anyone have access to this register for this time frame? It is for Inverness, Wick and Nairn. Thanking you in anticipation!
