I know that both my grandfathers fought for England, in the first World War, probably but not definately in the army. One was based in Bayeux and the other one was a German prisoner of war. Is there any way , knowing their name, I can find out whch regiment they were in? Thanks

You could try WW1 Pension and Service records on Ancestry. If you don't have Ancestry, post some details (full names, birth date and place of birth) and I will look for you.

There are medal cards for 2 Percy Cade on documentsonline. One was in Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and the other in Northumberland Fusiliers. You can download them for 3-50 each, but unlikely to give you the info so you know which one, if either, is yours!

KOYLI seems the most likely regiment, but shouldn't assume it's the one. Google documentsonline and it will come up
