I have just been looking at the 1901 census on ancestry and think I have found a relation.

What does the part that says ED instituation or vessel mean?

Does it mena that they may have been in the work house?

Many thanks for any help you may be able to give.

No............it's just the terminology used .

ED is Enumeration District.........

The census image will give you the address.

If someone is in the Workhouse, they are described as 'Inmate'

Try looking at previous pages, there will be a name of a road/street somewhere.
