Trying to find birth cert for my grandfather so I can find his parents. His army records say he was born Harrow on the Hill c1885, know he was killed in 1918 in France, have found those records but after searching BMD and even the cencus from 1891 to 1901 to trace his birth or residence record have had no luck. Have found marriage in 1907 to Martha Allen. That all I have found.
Has anyone any ideas plse where else I can look.

Reg is right...you cannot be sure your following the correct family unless you buy the marriage cert

Perhaps his birth registration has be entered incorrectly i.e.Kelly, Keeley etc.

Hi,

Just like to thank all who suggested various names and items to follow up.
Now have marriage cert, name is definately Charles Keily birth c1887 at least it is spelt the the same as his Army Records.
Still struggling, but now have a few clues to follow up.
Hopefully these might lead somewhere.
