Is that website only available to Uni members?
I tried 'Google' and got into a site but although I get the search facility it won't give results.

Maybe the cert you ordered for Jane had a father named as John, the second family, which is why they did not send it.

Have you traced the 'phantom' family back to see if they also have a Jane?

Kingston lifecycles Database on Kingston uni website has Jane Ann Fagan's marriage to Arthur Strutt on 07/08/1909 at All Saints' church Kingston, bride's father Adam Fagan.

I recently ordered some certificates. i found a number of births and marriages on freebmd i thought i could place with my fagan family.

i know they were living in Kingston in 1887. i found the marriage of a John Andrew Fagan on freebmd and ordered, it has arrived today and allcorrect. however there was a birth about a year later also in Kingston of a John Fagan, i thought probable this was his son, but when the cert arrived the father is a John Thomas Fagan and completely different mother.

Also ordered marriage of Jane Fagan 1906 with checking point as fathers name (adam) however got reply that this was not fathers name on cert. janes father was deceased in 1906 so could she have not put him on there? i know there is another Fagan Family living in Kingston at the same time, a "phantom family" with almost identical names? i was hoping they may have been related to my family but Adam came to england between 1837 and 1851 from Ireland and i don't know how to trace any of his siblings.

am i seeing everything other than the obvious or would this confuse anybody? afterall Fagan is not a very common name. Any Halp would be greatly appreciated. i am going around in circles!
