Deleting "My Threads"

I have decided to tidy up my collection of "My Threads", there are pages of them and most are now unwanted, and it takes ages to find the ones I do want. But I can't work out how to delete the unwanted ones.

Assuming it can be done, could somebody tell me how please.

Thanks

Duncan

If you've added to a thread, go onto it and delete your message.

If you posted a thread, delete the whole thing.

That should work...well thats the way it used to work :)

Hope that works

Can I recommend forebearance?

People looking for information at GR ... if they're sensible ... do a search of the old messages on the board.

Someone might one day happen on your thread and find the info s/he has long been searching for about a shared family, which might just help him/her, but might also find you some cousins! Even threads that nobody has ever posted in might serve that purpose.

I've actually never understood why people delete threads that have lengthy research findings in them.

Since the threads are probably long inactive and are just out there in the double-digit numbers of pages of your "my threads", why not just leave 'em where they're not bothering anybody? ;)

Thanks Mhairi / Kathleen

I didn't realise I would be deleting them from GR, I just meant to delete them from my own PC. But I'll take your advice and leave them be, I'll find something else to tidy up instead!
