A possible marriage:

Mary Hiscock to Ernest J Gibson Daventry 3b 205 Sep qtr 1917

.... and Violet L Gibson, mother's maiden name Hiscock, in Brixworth Dec qtr 1926;
vol 3b 129.

NB Brixworth looks like it will be the registration district for Lamport (both due north of Northampton)

The birth certificates of any of these three should provide the Christian names of their father and mother. Once you have their names (assuming these birth registrations are the ones you are looking for), you could try an article in the Northampton Mercury to see if there are any family friends who remember them.

Perhaps a better fit:

Gibson, mother's maiden name Hiscock:

James H Jun qtr 1918 Daventry 3b 138
and Elsie M Jun qtr 1920 Hardingstone 3b 60

(Hardingstone has similarities to the sound of Ardingley)

[Also Elsie Gibson Kettering 1914, mother's maiden name Papworth

- not getting anywhere with James Henry.

- which was his preferred name - Jim/James/Henry/Harry/other?]

Edit - I think this one should be ignored for now since I cannot locate any siblings with the right names
