Kaz, Thanks for the offer.
I went up to see my dad in North Wales last weekend (I live in Kent), So on the way back I passed through Aston and Sedgley. I soon realised that none of the houses were the original ones but that the roads were still there. I managed to get quite a few pictures of Road Signs!

Hi Pat

I know ThimbleMill lane well as have driven along it many times even though I don't live around Brum anymore I still visit my parents there!
Sedgeley is less well known to me but in-laws live close by so if you need any pics let me know!

Kaz,
Thanks i will have a look.
I know that my 2x great grandmother was living at 258 Thumblemill Lane when she married in 1888 at St Clements Chuch.
I think that her father and future husband must have moved into that area briefly for work as they were originally from the Sedgley area, and they were back there by 1901.

Hi Pat,

If you go onto www.virtualbrum.co.uk/heartlands.htm, there are a couple of photos of St. Clements demolished around 1950 although part of it apparently remains.

Best Wishes

Jane

Im wondering about a church that I dont think is there anymore, It's called St Clements. Does anyone know what road it might have been on?
Also On Thimble Mill lane, There is a building, Im not sure if it was a church or just a burial ground. It had no sign up for it's name. It's near the large Oriental store (Sorry can't remember what it's called!), Down a bit of a hill. The building is set back from the road. I know it's a bit vauge, but I thought maybe someone might be able to help?
Many Thanks
Pat
