Hey, Elaine! -- I love Kevin Asplin's site -- I ran across it some time ago by complete accident.

I was looking for my gr-grfather's sister's son Henry John Rossiter Monro Coke aka McCock, and googling various variations of the name. By complete serendipity, the name "Rossiter M McCock" came up on one of his lists, because the name surname Monro was in the same long list. Found his uncle in the list too.

(Interesting that the uncle also appeared in the 1901 census at home, but HJRMC/McC isn't anywhere in that census. Must've joined/got called up at different times.)

But -- I know he was in the IY, but I don't know whether he survived. My feeble attempt at finding a record at the National Archives didn't work.

Any tips??
