Alongside the volume and reference numbers there is another letter - a- in brackets. does anyone know what this means? Thank you, Dawn

Member Since: April 2006 Posts: 5,644 Send Message	My understanding is that if there were late arrivals at the GRO from the register offices, they were indexed under a,b,c etc.
