Sometimes people don't renew and forget to update their email address when they change servers, it may be worth trying the name then ntl or hot mail etc, I caught one of my hot matches that way.
Annoyingly I have one with 40 matches, Ive worked out who she is, she just copied our tree verbatum with, early mistakes! I can't find her either so don't lose heart, its not deliberate,just careless

Researching:
For better results please give all the details ,name, date place as you can {pictures by me }

I sent off to about 12 hot matches recently and only 1 has replied, some of them had at least 2 matches, but not giving up yet. The only one I think I have given up on I have contacted twice and they hold the key to whether I am following the right line or not after searching many parish records in Kendal. Never mind I live in hope LOL

It's happened to me once. Someone hot matched with me by 7 names but they haven't replied to my email. A few months down the line and still no reply. It's really annoying!

This happens to me all the time. Even when I put my email address in my message, I have more people ignore me than reply. It's infuriating.

Hi Diane,
I have the same problem only my hot match have 5 family members with the same info. that was back in October, I've decided that she is no longer a subscriber th GR, and thats why she hasen't replied, I cannot imagine any one subscribing and then not replying. good luck

I would send another message and put in your E-mail addy..if they are a not a full member then i think they can't pm back..plus i wouldn't open my tree just yet

Perhaps they've gone on holiday, they could be sick, they could have changed their email address.
Personally I wouldn't share my tree with anyone until I's established contact.

Forgive me if this message is in the wrong place, this is the first time I have posted here..I have a problem that I hope someone can help with. I recently had a hot match with my tree. This person has two family members with identical names,dates of birth and towns and counties of birth as two members of my tree...so I got quite excited as this seems as though it must be a match. I sent a message to her, sharing my tree, but have not heard back. The suspense is killing me, I am thinking that she probably hasn't logged on to see the message in her genes reunited message box. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way around it?
