I am quite new to genealogy, and would like some advice on tying to find my fathers family, all that I know about him is his name was Edward Graham born in Dublin,Ireland,29 Nov 1932, he had 3 brothers and 1 sister, they came to England about 1948,where he died in 1971. I don't know if I have enough information to get a birth certificate or where to get one from.Any advice would be appreciated

There are some threads that give help with Irish research - I shall give them a nudge (bring them forward). One of them certainly shows where one can apply for a certificate.

Fay

As you have your father's DOB and you are sure that he was born in Co Dublin you should have no trouble in getting a copy of his birth certificate from the Southern Ireland's GRO.

If he married over here..then his marriage certificate would show his father's name too.
