Henry also had a dau Sarah Elizabeth (1820) who is my wife's gggrandmother).
I am now trying to follow Sarah's siblings.

Can't find what happened to Laura.

Sarah married a Richard Nic(h)o(l)l and had a dau Phyllis Eliza. The family sailed to New Zealand in June 1861 from Gravesend but can't find them in the 1861 census....

gawd,

that 1861 census reference that Michael found is a mess!!!

The transcriber has apparently lumped together ALL the households in Parry Place, Plumstead into one listing!

I've looked at 4 pages, all are separate households with an average of 5 or 6 people per house ........ but I cannot find the 3 Roberts shown on the record!!

Just for interests' sake, here is the listing of names from the Record

Please tell us the birthplaces for each of the people you are trying to locate.

Their place of abode in 1851 will not help to search for them in 1861..........

Peterkinz Report 9 Dec 2007 21:32

In 1851 Henry Roberts 57, wife Elizabeth 51 and children Eliza 17, John 11 and Charles 9 are living in Barking, Essex. Also present are grandchildren William J and Lora (Laura ) P Roberts (3 and 2 respectively).

Laura looks like the Laura Phillis Birch Roberts b 1849 St James.

I am having trouble finding their parents (without at the moment buying Laura’s BC

Any ideas??
