Finding out if old addresses still exist

Morning all
I'm just wondering if anyone has any hints & tips on how to find out if an address from say a 1901 Census still exists.

I have my gr gr gandfather who was a farmer of 800acres living at "The Hall" in Buckden, near Skipton and i wondered if it still exists ...without having to make the 200 mile journey to see for myself. Are there any land registry websites or something similar that could give me more information? I think the next residence on the census sheet was the village pub "The Buck" - would this mean that my gr gr grandfather's farm was near enough next door ?

1901 census record for household of Timothy Simpson
Address: The Hall
Civil Parish: Buckden
Rural District: Skipton
Town or Village or Hamlet: Buckden
Ecclesiastical Parish: Hubberholme St Michael
Parliamentary Borough or Division: Skipton Division
Administrative County Yorkshire

Any hints, tips info greatly received! :o)
thankyou!

Just googled Buckden Hall and the Buck Inn came up as a hotel with a telephone number.
Try googling for it, if you try calling them they may be able to assist you.

I would have a word with the local authority as there is an outdoor education centre at Buckden House which is in fact a converted 'hall' and may be the building you are looking for. Yo can see a picture of it at:http://www.poppop.icom43.net/page6.html
