someone found me details of my family...but now someone else has also found the same people but under dif surnames? all with same mothers maiden name??

how is this possible and what has happened? also who do i search for now?

all this has put a big spanner in my works now?!

Can you give us some more details Heather?

Buying certificates can usually help clear things like this up, expensive but at least you know you've got the correct details.

Heather I think births are listed under both names when the parent's aren't married.
