If you google and find the nearest records office, or where the records are kept, you can usually have a copy sent to you for a small fee......couple of £s
Good luck

Some record offices will make a printout for a very small fee if you can direct them to an actual parish and correct date.
It will be a copy of the actual parish registers as filmed for fiche.
I have asked for this and find it useful to have a paper copy to peruse at leisure.

Thanks for the information Huia and Colin, I think a few of the Walters were really Watters and the t never got crossed properly as on the grave in Willunga someone scratched across the two tees later. can you see the original writing on the films at the LDS ?

Hi

The parish is actually Crowan and includes the village of Praze-an-Beeble where i lived for a number of years.

Try having a look at the parish website or contacting the parish clerk, she might be able to point you in the right direction.

Do you have an LDS Family History centre near you? You can order the film of the parish records and get a printout of the page you want. I have done that with quite a few.

Is there any way that you can order a copy of the parish records? what I want to see is the signature as written in the parish records of Crowen cornwall. William Watters signed it himself but his wife Lenora made her mark, it may have been transcribed as Walters, however many years later he wrote it as Watters. Any help would be great. Thanks Chris.
