any missing children 1716-1728 ??

hi..if anyone has any time on their hands,could they help me out please....
re the marriage of JOHN MERRICK b 1689 Llandinabo,herefds
and ANNE JEFFS B 1695 Llandinabo,herefds
they married in Llandinabo on 27-01-1716 their son SIMON MERRICK b 1728 Llandinabo is one of my Direct descendants....I find it very unlikely that simon was their only child,but i`ve searched everywhere and can`t find any other children...there has to be some children in their previous 12 years of marriage..any tips or ideas???.....also ,on familysearch.org john merrick (b 1689) parents are down as john merrick and joan merrick....any tips on finding more about them....joans maiden name would be nice to trace..probably married abt1685 and born 1660`s............thanks for your time.....regards...allan
