Anyone heard of `Briney` in Yorkshire please.

Is there any info about the people with whom he is living in 1851?

Its to do with yourkshire slang,
eg, Doncaster Known as Donny
Wadworth Known as Waddy

Brinsworth could have been known as Briney in years gone by

Hi Reg..no hes not on 1861..He is aged 74 on the 1851 and is a former j/man spinner and shows to be married...

Need the info to look on IGI for any connections...

I have the wet census for 1851 which states William Brierley as father in law but has relationship or surname as suspect on it.

As it is not available on line I cannot have a look at the original census to see for myself..It also says his birth place as Briney Yorkshire..I have never heard of this..can anyone help please...thanks..W
