You need to go into the IGI bit on Family Search then you can get England, Ireland, Scotland BMD's on this bit. If you have any problems finding it give me a shout and I will take it step by step for you.

I have now found Annie who was born in Tipperary in 1878, but still no sign of her brother

Oh well, i shall keep looking

Thank you Betty for that (even if i told you duff info). I couldn't find Ireland on the family search website. I must be looking in the wrong place. Please could you tell me which bit I should be looking in:)

Their father was Thomas George and mother was Mary Ann Hughes (nee Peel)

Good Evening All and a very Happy New Year,

I was hoping that some kind person would be able to give me a bit of advice. I have two relatives than I have been unable to find births for. Annie Hughes (born c 1879) and William Hughes (born c 1881).

Also about the same time I am unable to find the family on the 1881 census. On the 1891 census their place of birth is listed as Ireland, but I have no idea where.

I believe their father Thomas Hughes was in the army and wondered if it was possible that is why they were overseas.
