I have looked for a marriage every where I can think of. I don't think the parish RICHARD DENNIS b 1812-13 was married in is available on line. I can find him in the 41 census in Wyke Regis with his wife Thomasine but no success at finding a marriage or her Last name. Can anyone help or suggest where I might be able to search. I am in Aust so on line is all I've got. Regards Gina

There is this birth which would fit with the youngest son on the 1841 census:-

William Stephen Dennis
Dec. qtr. 1840, Dorchester, VIII, 57

You could order this and give the parent's first names as a reference checking point, so they only supply the certificate if it's the right one. This would give you the mother's maiden name.

I've looked on the IGI for a marriage but can't find one.

Thanks Kath, That makes sense. I have several children so anyone would do. So easy when you have a brain. I have been going round in circles over here for ages. Thanks heaps, Gina
