Can someone who is a bit more 'with it' than me please explain a few things.
I have recently been contacted by my ISP telling me of all the wonderful new improvements they have made - all with no extra cost to myself, hidden amongst all the blurb is the fact that i am now only allowed 10GB monthly usage for the monthly cost i have been paying,but i can top up my usage by 3.00 per 3GB.

This means nothing to me, if 10GB very much? will it be sufficient for my needs re my Family Tree.(It was previously unlimited)
But now they have kindly given me free phone calls at certain times of the day on a land line that i hardly use.
On the thoughts that you get nothing Free nowdays i am very suspicious as to what is going on.

I will have a go and see where that gets me,
I dont rerally understand any of it, is it what i actually look up on the web that is being monitored?

It is not what you look at that is monitored, but the volume of data that passes across the connection.

The 10G refers to the amount of data that you download from the internet, and upload for that matter.

Unless you or someone in your family regularly downloads files such as videos and music, then the 10G is more than sufficient for normal browsing.
