Matilda Powell b1837c Wednesbury, Staffs.

I have her living with Sarah and William Green in 1841 aged 3.

1851 she is with her uncle and aunt, Able and Mary Fletcher aged 13.

Matilda married 26 feb 1856 to George Horton. I cant find either Matilda or George Horton in 1861! George died 1863.

She married for a 2nd time to John Pool/e 19 feb 1865.

By 1871 census she is a widow with children from her 1st and 2nd marriage.

She married again for the 3rd time 23 Oct 1882 to John Horton (prob brother to the 1st hubby) but thats by the by....

Where is my Matilda in 1861???

I found young Abel in 1861 staying with his great Uncle Abel Fletcher but none of the others!

Her children up to 1861 were....

Abel Horton b14 April 1856
Charles Horton b3 March 1859
Ann Maria Horton 13 Jan 1861..AKA Annie.died 1864
.
All born either walsall.willenhall or new invention Staffs.
The men were all key/lock smiths.
