i am a virtual newby - i am finding it frustrating to get any further i must be doing something wrong as i cannot even get my father records up and i know when,where, and when he died

can anyone advise further as to what i am doing wrong please i would be eternally grateful

If he died after about 1920, and one imagines he would have, the only place to find the record is on a pay-to-view site.......findmypast is one; Ancestry is another.

Where exactly have you looked?

Hopefully you now have a reasonable amount of information to continue in your family quest. Good luck and welcome to the club. Think twice before you continue. Once bitten you'll be hooked.
