Dear Freinds,
We have a Peter Charles Jenkins in the family who was adopted By Percy Clifton c1939
We would like info regarding where to go for the adoption papers, in the hope we could get info on his farther.
Peter was born in Gosport Hants c1931 and his mother was Mary Eliza (Elizabeth) Jenkins.
Any Advice would be helpfull.

It is very probable that his mother was unmarried.

Was PCJ his birth name?

This would appear to be his birth reg'n.......giving credence to my suppostion about his mother being unmarried

The chances of his father's name being recorded are slight, I would say.

You can't gain access to the adoption papers. The only person allowed access to those is the adoptee themselves and that can be a struggle at the best of times,the best you could hope for is assistance from one of the adoption intermediary services but it is only in extreme cases that they can offer assistance free of charge..
