Just Wondered

Just wondered if it was possible to copy a small relating branch of someones tree (which their permission of course) to an off line computer programme, instead of either printing it out or copying it one person at a time.

I would only want to do this as I say with any related people, and never any living (after permission) and would never do this without asking first.

Could it be uploaded as it would just save keep looking backwards and forwards on here for each tree as I verify each one.

Thanks a lot for any advice,

Marilyn

No it can't be done other than in the way you describe.

If the other person agrees, they could send you a Gedcom file of the branch you are interested in and then you could import it to whichever programme you have and merge it with your tree.

Thats an idea, thanks Sam.

I am regularly in touch with a few of them by email, maybe I will mention it.

Thanks
