Hi Romany Star,

Try prewarboxing.co.uk which lists about 30,000 british boxers - managed to find one of mine on there!

He was born 1890, and died in 1941 (in WW2). His name was definately Percy Price, but his nickname was Bush, or Bushy. All I know was he was born near Maesteg, and as a married man lived in Brynmenyn, then Bridgend. He was a boxing coach after retiring. His name is from his daughter (my gran)'s birth cert and the war graves website. His birth year is from my gran, if its not 100% accurate it'd be approximately 1890. I was told of the Bush/Bushy nickname by my aunty, and also an old school friend of Percy's son.

I found out today that my great grandfather Percy Price was a boxer who used the name Bush. (Either Bush Price or Percy Bush, Im unsure) in South Wales. He was born 1890 and died 1941. After retiring from boxing, he was a trainer. Does anyone know if there would be any records held anywhere please?
