Dont forget to delete the words mother or father from the boxes first before you add the details though Barbara, I've had lots of shared trees from members who have left these on and its really annoying plus the fact that other members cant see the surnames when they search.

Have just added a father.
When I clicked "add father" another box came up as well (mother)
To add mother's details just click on that box (mother) and you will have a blank form to fill out at bottom of page.

Have tried what you said but it still doesn't work. If I add father first it won't let me add mother without the other box coming up. Any further suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks Valerie and and Reggie will try that as I have some parents to add to my tree. Been trying to do this for 6 months now and wish I had asked before!

After you add the first parent, use the box which appears automatically for the second parent....do not click on 'add parent' on the toolbar

Hi barbara,
when you add parents fill in father's details then click on mother and add her details. If you click on partner it brings up the other box.

Please I need help. When I add anyone to my tree it comes up wrong. e.g. If I add the parents of someone it comes up with father o.k. then (mother) with no name, then mother with name which looks like the person had two mothers, one with ne name and the real mother.

I haven't made this very clear but I hope somebody understands what I am trying to say!!

Perhaps I am adding in the wrong way. I have tried adding "partner of"..... and "mother " of....... but it still appears wrong.

Any help would be appreciate as I am going mental!!!!!
