I think the marriage cert will have all there is to know,
but, if you want to check the parish register is probably at the Warwickshire Records Office(google for the address tec) and they will post you a copy email them or speak on the phone. or they will tell you where the records are if they haven't got them

I'm trying to trace my family back to Ireland and in particular exactly where in Ireland they came from.

My great-great grandfather was born in Ireland in1840. Fortunately his surname is quite unusual (CALT) and my research so far has indicated that the only Calt's were in County Mayo at that time. So I'm now trying to narrow this down a bit.

My great-great grandfather Michael, came to England and married in 1869 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Chapel in Studley (now Warwickshire).
I've got a copy of his marriage certificate, which also shows his fathers name - Edward (deceased at the time of Michael's marriage).

Are the actual church records likely to show any more information than I already have from the marriage certificate (i.e. a place of birth) ? And if so, where are these records likely to be held ?

At the moment all I have is names and dates and nothing to actually confirm which part of Ireland the family came from so any advice that could help me narrow my search down would be greatly appreciated.
